July 20th. We need to keep going North. Better too early in Upernavik to welcome our new crew members than too sorry for making them wait alone in this isolated outpost. Still, before turning full north, we are on a side trip for a unique opportunity; watching the gorgeous EQIP glacier.
Wake up time at 9:30 am. A good breakfast and we are ready to go. Old faithful Perkins is now rumbling happily. I am at the wheel, Eric taking care of the anchor. A well scripted scenario. He lifts the anchor, I engage slowly the gear box. Suddenly, Breskell shakes abnormally.
Our next guests cancelled. I am now alone with Eric. Not a bad deal as a consensus is easy to reach!
